Lawn Care Tips

Some things that should be done in the spring.

Flowers

  • fertilize bulbs after they bloom with a balance fertilizer
  • divide perennials
  • cut back perennials and ornamental grasses

Garden

  • After ground has thawed and is dry, start tilling or turning beds
  • Remove any winter mulch protection

Lawn

  • Remove debries and aerate when soil is dry enough
  • Spread new grass seed

Trees/Shrubs

  • Prune evergreen hedges, shrubs, and trees before growing starts
  • Prune flowering shrubs and trees to promote
  • blooming and after they bloom
  • Prune deciduous shrubs and trees before growth starts
